About Kristen Perek, PT, DPT, RYT
Background
- Graduated from Saint Louis University in 2015 with a Bachelors in Exercise Science
- Graduated from Saint Louis University in 2017 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Graduated from 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training at Elemental Yoga in Fort Worth, Texas in 2017 and continues to teach anatomy to each YTT Cohort
- Worked at Texas Health Sports Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas from 2018-2021: worked with high school athletes, collegiate athletes, as well as adult athletes daily utilizing objective measures to return appropriately to sport
- Currently works at Nevada Early Intervention Services (0-3 years old) giving back to the community as well as learning the origins of pathology and lifespan of physiologic imbalances that begin at birth
- Currently coaches at Mount Rose Ski Resort since 2021
Why Open My Own Practice?
In this new model, concierge PT, I am able to blend my two areas of specialty: sports medicine PT and home health pediatric PT. The undivided attention I am able to give to clients combined with envisioning and practicing, in real time, how to implement therapy everyday, will change the way therapy can be achieved by the patient and by the therapist.
